Bad Ass and Beautiful | How To Win the Holidays

Take a look in the mirror, do you see what I see? You’re bad ass and beautiful.

No doubt you look in the mirror and are like – damn! It’s the “most wonderful time of the year,” right?

You may be feeling crazed, exhausted and have been wearing your unwashed hair in that messy bun for a week. You’re rocking  your favorite holiday PJ’s on the reg trying to get your shit together for the next week of chaos.

You do you, girl…and you look fabulous while kicking Christmas’ ass.

It’s the time of year when everyone is so concerned with looking their best for out of town relatives, making sure their house is perfect and sometimes that holiday pressure can get to us. You know who I’m talking about: that lady behind you in line at Target who literally won’t stop complaining about how slow the line is moving or the guy who will literally bear tackle you for the last Scruffaluv/cool new toy of the moment. Or, the worst is waiting in the never-ending line at the mall coffee shop…people haven’t been properly caffeinated in the last 2.5 hours and are starting to get rowdy. You can hear the baristas silently hating life with each person who orders a Peppermint Mocha.

Don’t get swept up in the holiday crazy. Keep your beautiful heart on the outside and share it with others.

The holidays are over so quick. It’s a literal whirlwind to keep up, so once it’s over say f*ck yeah and let’s get ready for a new adventure.

With the new year around the corner (2019 – where you at?), find ways to embrace your beautiful heart. Remember that you’re in control of how your beauty is perceived to others and most importantly how it it makes YOU feel.

Yes, sister – I’m talking to you.

Strip off those Christmas PJ’s and take a look in the mirror again. You’re still you and you’re awesome.  I mean, you made it through the holidays unscathed, so that’s a win in my book.
